so I'm in the Coach store at the Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC today... struck up a conversation with the salesladies, and I mentioned I had a "Fauxch" from Chinatown, NYC. One girl gasped, and I mentally groaned "ugh! she's a purse snob!"
She told me that she learned that the profits from the black market handbags go to fund terrorism, and were even related to both WTC attacks. I was quite skeptical, but once we got back to our hotel I googled it... here's an interesting link.

So, I'm going to look for a new wallet and I'm going to back-of-closet my brown shoulder bag.
I'm now getting my wish list together... check it out. http://coach.com/shop/product_nobefree.asp?product_no=7365&category_id=116
Anyway, we've found ourselves a home here in Cary, NC. It's a beautiful complex, a 2br/2ba floorplan with a full kitchen, living, dining areas, walk-in closets, and a full size w/d included.
YAY! We didn't bring the camera, so you'll just have to survive w/o pics until we move down here.
I still can't believe we're leaving NYC. Technically we already left NYC (back in Jan. w/ our move to Jersey) but you know what I mean! I will always have a soft spot in my heart for NYC, but I'm ready for the changes that NC will bring.
Well, we've got a major drive ahead of us tomorrow. We're probably going to head to a dealership tomorrow "to see a man about a car...." and then we'll get on the road again.
Ny-tol!

So this is new...
Hello all! I've decided to jump on the "blog wagon." Go ahead... groan. I know you want to! I got inspired by Angella's recent link to her blog about their new house. So, I've decided to blog!
Actually, I've been thinking about it for quite some time. Recently, and yes, you can laugh..., I've been recovering quite a few memories from my very early childhood. I believe my earliest memory goes back to when my brother was born, and I was 2-and-a-half years old. I remember being at Mrs. Hair's house... yes, that was her name. She kept kids at her house in Granny's neighborhood. Apparently, Granny brought me there when she visited the hospital, and that was the only time I visited Mrs. Hair's according to mom.
I had to ask mom about this one, but it's apparently true. I remember the next winter, I threw a snowball at my baby brother (because I wanted him to catch it, of course!) and it hit him in the face. I always thought this was a bad dream I had!
It's wierd all the details I remember...
So I guess I'll sign off for tonight. Gotta get to sleep!
Have fun reading!
